Week 36

Good evening,

Can you believe that there are only 14 days of school left, I know I can't and am already missing each and everyone of you. We have a full schedule until the end of the school year. If you haven't already please make sure that you have registered for next school year. You will also need to bring in your proof of residency to the office unless you have uploaded it into the system. This will make your visit on Registration day in the fall much quicker. If you have any questions let me know and have a great week! ~Ms. Nantz

Good morning,

This is the 2nd week of testing. We will be testing from Tuesday-Thursday and Friday will be a make up day if needed. The whole class did wonderful last week and stayed focused and tried their hardest on the assessments. I look forward to seeing them work even harder this week on the last part of ELA and then Science and Social Studies tests. There will be a special treat Friday afternoon for all students who continue to work hard and do their best. If you have any questions please let me know.

Week 30

Good morning,

This week we will be completing the second TNReady Practice Test. We will be testing Writing today, Reading on Tuesday, Math on Wednesday and Science on Thursday. Please make sure your child gets a good amount of rest. There will be very little homework this week since the focus is on preparing for the TNReady Assessment in late April. Last week in the Wednesday folders students brought home a flyer about the hallway benches. This is a goal of our PTO this year. They would like to replace the older ones that are breaking with new ones that highlight the classes we have currently. If you would like to donate please do so by filling out the form and sending in money. Each child who brings in at least $5 will be able to sign their name on the bottom of the bench. Also, report cards come home this Wednesday and the Honor's Program is on Thursday at 9:30am. I hope to see some of you here to support your child. Lastly, school registration began last week online. Please go ahead and register your child for next school year. This will allow us to know how many spots we have open for the regular education classrooms and also cut down on your time needing to be here the week before school during registration day. If you get your child registered before April 6th they will receive a small coupon or gift from WSE. If any questions please let me know. ~Ms. Nantz

Week 28 (Last Week of 3rd Nine Weeks)

Hello All,

This week we will be finishing the NWEA Maps Tests for Science and Math. I will be sending home a sheet that states your child's Winter Score and Spring Score as well as if they made their growth. Also, on Friday we will be going on a field trip to the Pink Palace, when we return we will be doing a writing assignment that goes along with what they saw. Have a great last week of the Nine Weeks and a safe Spring Break next week. ~Ms. Nantz

Week 27

Good evening,

The next two weeks we will be completing the Spring NWEA Maps. Our days this week are Wednesday for Reading and Friday for Science. We will complete Math next week. Please remind your children that they know how to do this work and need to continue to believe in themselves. They have learned so much this year and now is the first time they need to show it. I am proud of each of them and know they can do it. We also have two weeks left of the 3rd Nine weeks. All need to focus on AR, Zearn, Smarty Ants, and i-Ready. They have the ability to do these at home. Also students need to make sure that they turn in all of their homework by the end of each week. Many students have been turning things in very late and this is hurting their grades. Please work with them and let me know if any extra help is needed. Let's have a great week!
